I Like Big Bags and I Cannot Lie!

I am literally OBSESSED with big, giant bags. Maybe it's a weird subconscious thing in which I'm trying to overcompensate for my petiteness (is that even a word?). Whatever the reason may be, I CANNOT get enough of these types of bags.

I have rounded up a handful of big bags that I am currently drooling over.

This bag is lovely! It was designed with the on-the-go crafter in mind. It's categorized as a knitting bag, or, in other terms, Heather's next big bag (well, we'll see).

I recently purchased this bag, like, a few days ago. Totally unintentionally too. I was at the mall, walking around. I had walked by The Limited (this store is my weakness, by the way) and forced myself to not even look in the window. Well, I wasn't on my game when I was walking back to my car. I was walking by the store, again, and glanced in the window. And there was this big beauty, calling my name. Beckoning me to buy her. I did. Big bag: 1, Heather: 0

Chevron, enough said.

Gorgeous bag, right? I'm really liking leather right now, if you haven't noticed...

I LOVE THIS BAG! I love the white, especially for summer.

What kind of bags do you like? Let me know in the comments section!

Wanderlust

Just the other day, I stumbled upon this pin over on Pinterest. As you all know from my June goals post, I'd like to get back to blogging this summer. These blog prompts from Hello Neverland seemed to be a good jumping off point. Thank you Kenzie!

I am using Hello Neverland's June blog post prompts to help ignite and retain my blog posts this month. I can't guarantee that I will post everyday (even though she has a prompt for everyday), I certainly will try. Today's prompt is "Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world this summer?".

My dream trip would be the same whether it were summer or winter. I have always wanted to visit and travel throughout Italy. If that were the only other country I could see in my life, I would die a happy woman if I crossed Italy off my bucket list.

Of course, this photo is only a tiny glimpse of Italy, but it's beautiful. I wish I would explain exactly why Italy has intrigued me, but I honestly have no idea.

I have always loved Europe in general, or more like the attitude and perspective of life Europeans have. Based on blogs and articles I've read and a few people I've talked to, there is just a different perspective of life in Europe. Life is slow. People don't fill their time with work. They seem to enjoy moments more. They take their time eating. They eat amazing food and drink delicious coffee, espresso, and wine. You walk everywhere. There's history in the air. I think that is what is attractive about Europe in general.

I've always enjoyed the Italian language. I took a couple years of Italian when I was in college. I like the way it sounds rolling off native Italians (or those very fluent in Italian). Plus, I really like Italian food. I'm sure I would fall in love with authentic Italian food. And I love coffee and espresso. And wine.

So, where would you travel this summer if you could go anywhere in the world?

Heather

Hello June!

Photo edited with Studio App

It's unofficially summer and I couldn't be happier! I have a lot of great feelings about what June will bring, let alone the entire summer. I thought I'd share with you all my goals for the month. I'm hoping it will hold me a little more accountable...

June Goals

  • Finish a baby album for my friend
    • Her first baby is due in early July. I need to get this album going!
  • Read It Starts with Food
    • I've been looking into the Whole30 program a bit thanks to Katie Jaeger over at My Life As Kate. I will have a separate post about my thoughts on this whole program. Be on the lookout.
  • Prepare for Whole30
    • You can also find my Pinterest board documenting recipes, blog posts, motivation and all things Whole30.
  • Be more involved with Just Two Midwest Girls scrap challenge
    • Kelly has been amazing with stepping up and taking over launching our new blog and updating our Facebook page. Since this whirlwind of an adventure Mr. Sweet and I have taken on with selling our house and looking for a new one (if you want to read a little more about our house selling adventure, read this post), Kelly has been so helpful with taking on both of our roles. Thank you Kelly!
  • Get back to blogging!
    • I have not been the best at blogging lately. Not only are we trying to move (which is SOOO time consuming), but I'm trying to reevaluate the content of my blog as well. I would like to get back to posting 3 times a week. I'm hoping to work out a topics/ideas list and posting schedule.

There you have it: my goals for the month. I tried not to overextend myself, as is a common theme in my goal-setting. I feel like these are all pretty doable tasks to achieve in 30 days (well, I guess 27 days now).

What are your goals for June? Or do you set goals for the summer in general?

xoxo,
Heather
